The tasting tour begins at Beecher's ‘World's Best’ Mac and Cheese. Learn about the cheese-making process first-hand, then try some Fair Trade coffee and all-natural doughnuts at Local Color.

The chef discusses seasonal produce in Washington State while serving up one of his/her homemade, savory tarts. Elsewhere, try Ellenos Real Greek Yogurt; another chef-made tasting using MarketSpice's tea or spices; Uli's Famous Sausage and their authentic German sausage; and the Pike Place Fish Market's prized wild King Salmon Fillet. Then the tastings finish with some of the purest direct-trade dark chocolate at indi chocolate. That's 10 total stops with two chef-made tastings.

Though many tourists are attracted to the famous Pike Place Market every year, local chefs also selectively choose their seasonal produce and proteins daily from the market. Enjoy a breathtaking flight from Seattle's Lake Washington to Friday Harbor aboard one of our classic 6-passenger Dehavilland Beaver seaplanes. A quick and easy way to get to the Islands! Experience views of the Puget Sound, the Seattle Skyline, and the San Juan Islands before the splash-down landing in Friday Harbor on a 50 minute flight.

This 50 minute one-way flight crosses over Puget Sound before landing at Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands. Depart from the southern end of Lake Washington in Renton, located about 25 minutes from both downtown Seattle and Bellevue. Here, you’ll meet your pilot and board the six-passenger de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver — a classic single-engine, propeller-driven bush plane fitted with floats — ideal for exploring this scenic terrain.

Slip on your headset to hear the pilot’s commentary on the sights below. You’ll fly above Bill Gates’ rambling lakeside estate and enjoy premier aerial views of the Space Needle, which punctures Seattle’s panoramic skyline.

During the flight, soak up the breathtaking mountain landscapes of the Olympic and Cascade ranges and be on the lookout for marine life not limited to orcas, minke whales, bald eagles, seals and sea lions.

Situated just 90 miles (145 km) north of Seattle, the San Juan Islands include the popular Orcas Island and Lopez Island in its archipelago. Your pilot lands at Friday Harbor on San Juan Island, the second-largest and most populous of the islands.

Enjoy your time in Friday Harbor and don't forget to book your return flight!
